Civil War historian John Simpson discusses his newest book, All For the Union, based on 180 letters from the Ellithorpe family that came to the Cowlitz County Historical Museum in Washington state. The letters from Phillip and Philander Ellithorpe, soldiers fighting for the union, and their sisters Anne and Permila, capture life in the camps and battlefields and on the home front during the great conflict.
